Job Summary:
The Job Administrator supports the ministry and mission of Sorrento Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church by providing administrative assistance while helping strengthen connections with church members, visitors, and individuals in need of spiritual support.

This position works closely with the Pastor and church leadership to assist with member visitation, prayer follow-up, outreach efforts, communication, and other ministry-related activities. The Job Administrator should demonstrate a Christ-centered attitude, compassion for others, confidentiality, dependability, and a genuine desire to support the spiritual well-being and growth of the church community.

Skills, Education, and Experience Required:
  • Commitment to the mission, beliefs, and ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  • Demonstrates a Christ-centered character and a genuine desire to serve and minister to others.
  • Ability to interact with individuals and families with compassion, sensitivity, professionalism, and respect.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to pray with, encourage, and appropriately support individuals experiencing personal or spiritual needs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication and collaboration with the Pastor and church leadership.
  • Dependable, responsible, and able to manage multiple ministry and administrative responsibilities.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use email, word processing, spreadsheets, and other church administrative tools as needed.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred, based on the ministry needs of Sorrento Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  • Previous experience in church ministry, member care, Bible work, outreach, administration, or a related area is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and ministry support to the Pastor and church leadership as assigned.
  • Maintain regular communication with church members, visitors, and individuals who have requested prayer or spiritual support.
  • Conduct or assist with visits to church members, including individuals who are sick, elderly, homebound, experiencing hardship, or otherwise in need of encouragement and support.
  • Follow up on prayer requests and maintain appropriate records to help ensure individuals receive continued prayer, encouragement, and pastoral support when needed.
  • Contact members who have been absent from church services or activities to offer encouragement, prayer, and connection with the church.
  • Welcome and follow up with church visitors and individuals who have expressed an interest in becoming more involved with the church.
  • Assist with coordinating Bible studies, prayer opportunities, member care, and other spiritual-growth activities as directed by the Pastor.
  • Identify member needs or concerns that may require pastoral attention and communicate them appropriately to the Pastor while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assist with outreach and evangelistic initiatives designed to connect individuals and families with the church.
  • Help maintain accurate and confidential records related to member contacts, visitation, prayer follow-ups, and ministry activities.
  • Assist with telephone calls, correspondence, scheduling, recordkeeping, and other administrative duties related to church ministry.
  • Support church programs, special events, ministry activities, and community outreach efforts as needed.
  • Encourage members and visitors to become connected with appropriate church ministries, programs, and resources.
  • Work collaboratively with the Pastor, church officers, ministry leaders, and volunteers to support the mission and ministry objectives of the church.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding personal, spiritual, family, and other sensitive information shared by members or individuals receiving ministry support.
  • Perform other related administrative and ministry duties as assigned by the Pastor or designated church leadership.
