Job Summary:
Scriptural Foundation: When Moses’ father-in-law saw all that Moses was doing for the people, he asked, “What are you really accomplishing here? Why are you trying to do all this alone while everyone stands around you from morning till evening? You’re going to wear yourself out— and the people, too. This job is too heavy a burden for you to handle all by yourself. Let the leaders decide the smaller matters themselves. They will help you carry the load, making the task easier for you. (Exodus 18:14, 18, & 22)

Reports to: Directly accountable to the Lead Pastor. Direct Reports: Bookkeeper/Facility Manager & Assistant Facility Manager/Receptionist

Purpose: The church administrator handles the operational and administrative aspects of a church. They lead human resources, finance, recruitment, facility management, and all functional activities to ensure alignment with and accomplishment of the church's mission and vision. The church administrator works in cooperation with the Lead Pastor on Strategic Planning.

Skills, Education, and Experience Required:
  • Position Requirements:
    • Love for God and people
    • An active member of Seventh-day Adventist Church and once employed must become a member at WholeLife
    • Accounting and finance experience preferred
    • Five-plus years of management/operations experience
    • Familiarity with QuickBooks
    • Detail-oriented
    • Experience creating and implementing policies & procedures
    • Minimum in-person office hours of 9 am to 5 pm Tues through Thurs, 9 am to 3 pm Fri, and 8 am to 1:30 pm Sat.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Duties:
    • To be a safe, honest, and candid sounding board for senior leadership of WholeLife Church
    • Participate with senior leadership in defining and strategizing the Vision and Mission of the WholeLife Church
    • Financial Leadership / Treasurer
    • Implementing vision/mission directives
    • Supervising financial transactions
    • Creating/maintaining financial policies, procedures, and annual budget
    • Preparing monthly financial statements for the church finance committee
    • On behalf of the lead pastor, take and distribute the church board minutes
    • Ex-officio member of the church finance committee
    • Ex-officio member of the church personnel committee
    • Facility Management - Ensure the facility is exceptionally well-maintained and safe
    • Maximize the rental potential of the facility
    • Organizational Development
    • Staff Development - Strategizing, creating, defining staff positions and structures
    • Staff Management - Mostly applies to support staff
    • Rental Leadership
    • Supporting the administrative needs of the WholeLife staff
    • HR liaison with the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventist
