• Supervises the classroom when the teacher is out of the room. • Oversees unstructured free play. • Works with small groups of students to support learning • Works with the teacher to ensure the organization of free play corresponds to scheduled structured activities. • Assists teachers in making a smooth transition • Assists with meals, toileting, hand washing • Performs general class-keeping tasks. • Supervisees students in class, between classes, and during recreation periods • Assist teachers during field trips and special events • Works with individual struggling learners (one on one). • Provides alternative support to other teachers and students when not occupied directly with the main classroom. • Additional duties as assigned by the administration.
