The school is located in Wesley Chapel, one of the fastest-growing communities in the country. Currently in its sixth year, this innovative school combines the advantages of Adventist education with the latest advances in facility design, instructional practice, technology, and entrepreneurial leadership. Job Summary:
NTCA is looking for an experienced high school vice principal for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be a strong academic and spiritual leader who is willing to champion 21st-century learning methods, including project-based learning, mastery-based grading, and design thinking. The candidate will also have a passion for the community and seek ways to show Jesus to a diverse community and student body. The selected applicant will work with the other vice principals to lead the spiritual and academic programming for nearly 600 students and 45 teachers. Important strengths include the ability to relate well with students, communicate effectively with parents, and manage and relate well with faculty and staff. Applicants for this position must model Christ-like behavior and attitudes which will positively impact students in leading them to Christ. The selected employee will also be responsible for other school duties as may be assigned.

Skills, Education, and Experience Required:
Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a master's degree is preferred, and North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). A minimum of three years of successful classroom and administrative experience are required. Must be a team player; have a service-oriented attitude; be an effective communicator possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills; and be able to positively engage with students and families of diverse backgrounds, regardless of language, ethnicity, race, or socioeconomic status. Possessing competent technology skills using current educational software and hardware is essential. Additional traits should include organization, attention to detail, self-directed, and motivated. Absolute confidentiality is required. Curriculum familiarity, content knowledge, as well as knowledge of proficiency in instructional delivery are crucial. Most importantly, the applicant must possess a love for God, a love for working with children, and a desire to see each child in Heaven.

Job Responsibilities:
The vice principal will be expected to:
  1. Promote the Seventh-day Adventist philosophy, ensuring that all subject matter is taught from a Seventh-day Adventist perspective based on curriculum guidelines and requirements of the North American Division, Southern Union Conference, and Florida Conference.
  2. Review weekly lesson plans submitted by the teachers and ensure that they include objectives, procedures, and evaluation for each learning style. Must also demonstrate knowledge of lesson/unit planning and preparation that honors individual diversity and builds upon prior knowledge and the ability to coach teachers who may still be developing these skills.
  3. Ensure that instructional practices and delivery are academically and developmentally appropriate for diverse abilities and interests.
  4. Use a variety of evaluation techniques to provide feedback and communicate progress, providing opportunities for students to learn from mistakes as well as successes.
  5. Coach and help teachers grow professionally to ensure that appropriate classroom management routines facilitate student engagement and that continuity is utilized.
  6. Supervise, coach, and evaluate teachers.
  7. Help and coach teachers to utilize effective behavior management techniques which promote self-discipline and respect.
  8. Ensure that accurate records (teacher, student, and class) are kept, organized, and maintained (including attendance, grades, etc.) in the school's Student Information System and maintain compliance with conference and NAD requirements.
  9. Communicate with parents regularly, keeping them well-informed.
  10. Be willing and seek opportunities to grow professionally.
  11. Be responsible for other duties as may be assigned by the school administration.
