Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the cleaning of guest housing and meeting facilities. The housekeeper must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects and materials.



Skills, Education, and Experience Required:
  • Prior experience in housekeeping.
  • Must be able to collaborate and maintain customer/client focus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and handle stressful situations. 
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak English well to effectively communicate and interact with internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to follow, verbal and written instruction and take initiative in maintain guest housing and building facilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Wearing, maintaining and cleaning all uniforms as well as maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Maintaining a warm, friendly attitude with all guests and employees.
  • Willingness to work in other areas of Camp as needed.
  • Cleans housing in a detailed and timely manner.
  • Picks up trash in front of housing area.
  • Keeps kit supplied with chemicals and has a working knowledge of use of chemicals.
  • Keeps radio and golf cart clean and protected.
  • Maintains buildings as needed when large groups are here.
  • Attend weekly Housekeeping meeting.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment; to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner; to work as part of a team as well as to complete assignments independently; to take instructions from supervisors; to exercise problem-solving skills; and to interact with co-workers, supervisors, guests and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.

Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with guests, must remain calm under pressure and exhibit courtesy, diplomacy and kindness, both in person and through other communication avenues.

Employees must fulfill the performance standards of this position and comply with the policies, rules, codes and procedures of the Florida Conference including those set out in the Conference Working Policies, the North American Division Working Policies, or otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to employees.
