Job Summary:
The Treasury Summer Intern will be responsible for providing support to members of the Florida Conference Treasury Department across functional areas of external financial reporting, general accounting and internal reporting, treasury and payroll.

Skills, Education, and Experience Required:
  • Attending an Adventist College/University.
  • On an accounting, business, or financial track
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate (verbal and written) in English.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Accounting functions such as posting, check writing, receipting, invoicing, statement running.
  • Reviewing and approving payables (invoices/check requests).
  • Reviewing and processing visa reports.
  • Observing and assisting with locally funded payroll.
  • Assist with processing tithe and offerings for monthly remittances.
  • Audit follow-up and late remittance monitoring.
  • Assist with running monthly payroll Local Church and School Audits.
  • Observe exposure of Conference audit report Risk Management.
  • Accounting for Association to include:
    • Experience in trust field visits.
    • Assist with month-end statement preparation and month-end close Property Development
    • Attend Executive committee, Association board, Finance committee, Endowment Committee
    • Attend Staff meetings, and any other meetings deemed beneficial.
