Camp Kulaqua is a Christian Retreat and Conference Center, as well as a dynamic youth camp, located on 700 plus acres surrounding the Hornsby Spring in High Springs, Florida.

Job Summary:
The horse wrangler is responsible to saddle, feed and provide care for horses. This position will lead the riding experience for customers.

Skills, Education, and Experience Required:
  • Have full knowledge of how to saddle, feed and care for horses in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to interact with guests to ensure a safe ride and follow guidelines established by Camp Kulaqua’s Equestrian Program.
  • Must have riding experience and be knowledgeable in the proper handling and grooming of horses.
  • Must enjoy working with children and instructing them in the proper and safe handling of horses.
  • Must be physically able to perform the tasks required for the position.
  • Must be self-motivated and dependable with a good work ethic.
  • Must be able to take direction from supervisors and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Be able to work in a team environment with a positive cheerful, attitude.
  • Facilitate public relations with a professional attitude, courtesy and tact.
  • Be flexible to work when needed which may include weekends and holidays.
  • Be neat and clean in appearance and wear appropriate clothing as designated by supervisor
  • Must be able to pass background examination, including fingerprinting.
