Job Summary:
The Business Manager is responsible for planning and executing the school’s short- and long-term financial plan in coordination with the Principal, Finance Committee, and Conference Treasurer. This person will direct all aspects of financial management, which include tuition communications, accounting, and human resources. Applicants must possess a high level of tact, friendliness, and other aspects of strongly developed interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines; and proven organizational and time management skills. Applicants for this position must model Christ-like behavior and attitudes that will positively impact students in leading them to Christ. The selected employee will also be responsible for other school duties as may be assigned.

  • Skills, Education, and Experience Required:
    Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in Business, Management, or Accounting/Finance and a history of successful experience in related fields (at least three years) are required. Must be a team player; have a service-oriented attitude; and be an effective communicator, possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills. The selected applicant must have the ability to positively engage and work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including students and families of diverse backgrounds regardless of language, ethnicity, race, or socioeconomic status. Possessing competent technology skills using current educational software and hardware is essential. Additional abilities must include strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as being self-directed, motivated, and effective with time management. Absolute confidentiality is required. Most importantly, the applicant must possess a love for God, a love for working with children, and a desire to see each child in Heaven.

    Job Responsibilities:
    The Budsiness Manager will be expected to:
    1. Promote the Seventh-day Adventist philosophy and follow the guidelines and requirements of the North American Division, Southern Union Conference, and Florida Conference.
    2. Promote the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and strategically ensure the most effective use of resources.
    3. Work with the Principal to vision, plan, and budget for school success and growth.
    4. Acquire and maintain proficiency in Blackbaud accounting and financial systems.
    5. Prepare monthly financial statements and supervise all NTCA accounting activities.
    6. Prepare PowerPoint presentations with effective use of graphics and concise presentation-friendly financial information.
    7. Present to the board and the finance committee, as well as work with departments on implementing cost savings and new revenue opportunities.
    8. Prepare annual operating budgets for consideration and approval by the finance committee and board.
    9. Maintain a strategic financial plan that will indicate the trends and requirements of the school development plan and will forecast future year budgets.
    10. Be responsible for the financial resource management, facility and property management, financial health, and safety management of the school.
    11. Work with auditors on annual audits.
    12. Implement effective financial policies and ensuring compliance.
    13. Supervise the Business Office.
    14. Supervise ordering of supplies as needed.
    15. Carry out duties as assigned by the Principal and Florida Conference Treasurer.
    16. Represent NTCA as requested by the Principal and/or Florida Conference.
    17. Participate in administrative meetings.
    18. Communicate with parents, as needed, keeping them well-informed.
    19. Be willing to grow professionally.
    20. Other duties as may be assigned.
