Job Summary:
The Property Service Manager at Camp Kulaqua plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of the camp's facilities. This position is responsible for improving and maintaining Camp Kulaqua property and property infrastructure in order to provide guests with a safe, comfortable and quality camp and retreat facility.

Skills, Education, and Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • 6-8 years of experience in physical plant management required
  • Drinking water and Wastewater Operator Class C License preferred
  • Certified Pool Operation (CPO) required or willing to obtain
  • Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required or willing to obtain
  • First Aid/CPR Certification required or willing to obtain
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Knowledge of current and acceptable residential and commercial construction codes and practices for the state of Florida
  • Possess working knowledge of all Physical Plant systems (i.e. drinking water, electrical, pool, plumbing, sewer plant, etc.)
  • Possess working knowledge of landscape and grounds care
  • Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) in English with guests, co-workers and management
  • Possess organizational skills in both task and time management
  • Possess proven personnel management skills
  • Effectively coordinate departmental work assignments
  • Heavy equipment operation
  • Ability to be flexible
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to take ownership of work and assigned responsibilities
  • Create and manage annual departmental budget
  • Manage departmental inventory
  • Able to manage new development projects efficiently according to time and budget goals
  • Follow and implement established safety rules and regulations
  • Able to relate to guests and co-workers in a Christ-like manner
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive spiritual working atmosphere
  • Ability to manage Property Service Department personnel according to Florida Conference policies

Job Responsibilities:
  • Present a neat, clean and professional personal appearance
  • Wear/maintain/clean personal work uniform
  • Use/maintain assigned radio, key(s) and vehicle
  • Proper stewardship and maintenance of camp monies and credit cards
  • Attend all staff meetings and staff training (when applicable)
  • Safely operate Camp equipment (e.g. golf carts, truck, tractor, lifts)
  • Be on-call for emergency maintenance issues and coordinate emergency response efforts as needed.
  • Maintain a safe physical plant environment on Camp property
  • Maintain Camp property in good, working physical order to provide and promote an excellent camp and retreat facility for guests
  • Be willing to work in other areas of Camp as needed
  • Manage and maintain all camp vehicles and equipment
  • Maintain camp activity infrastructures (i.e. Archery, canoes, go-carts, low elements, etc.)
  • Maintain conservation easement
  • Areas of responsibility include: Water, Sewer, Garbage, Electricity, Roads, Grounds and Landscape, Vehicle and Equipment maintenance, pastures
  • Committee Memberships: Safety Committee, Farm Committee
  • Uphold the standards and policies of the Florida Conference of SDA’s and Camp Kulaqua
